Kaleideum offers virtual and on-site educational programs that will fascinate your students with exciting hands-on activities that correspond with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development.
- For a school-year field trip, fill out and submit the online School-Year Field Trip Registration Form.
- For a summer field trip, fill out and submit the online Public and Summer Group Field Trip Registration Form. A Kaleideum scheduler will contact you when your Registration Form is received.

Your field trip or group visit to Kaleideum is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation letter from the Kaleideum scheduler. Please bring this confirmation letter with you to present to the front desk when you come.

Experience geology in action at Vulcan Materials Company’s working quarry! Led by Kaleideum educators, view the quarry up close, and learn about the products mined here and the uses of these materials in everyday life. The Joseph A. Gutierrez Geology and Earth Science Museum at Vulcan also houses an ample collection of gems and minerals, so students can dig deeper into the basic components of Earth’s building blocks.

Groups are encouraged to visit Kaleideum Downtown free of charge on the same day as their Geology at Work program.
