Field Trips and Group Visits
Kaleideum Downtown welcomes school field trips, groups, and homeschool families! Advance registration is required for groups.
To schedule your visit, contact Manager, Museum Scheduling, Christy Ferguson at: cferguson@kaleideum.org
To learn more about bringing a group to the Museum, download the 2019-20 Kaleideum Educators’ Guide.
Parking
At Kaleideum Downtown, parking is limited. Ask that chaperones carpool if possible in order to avoid overcrowding with parking.
Please park in spaces marked with green lines or on Brookstown Avenue. Our neighbors have the right to tow cars parked in their reserved spaces.
Please have your bus driver park in the designated Bus Parking Lane on Liberty Street beside the Museum. Please do not turn into the Museum; the shape of the parking lot is not friendly for the length of a school bus.
Chaperones
The school year chaperone ratio at Kaleideum Downtown is 5:1. For every five children, one chaperone gets in for free. Additional chaperones beyond the ratio are charged a discounted $6 admission fee (tax included).
Dining
At Kaleideum Downtown, the Party Rooms can be scheduled for lunch rotations upon request. An outdoor picnic area is also available.
Kaleideum Downtown is located near many restaurants, and you may have food delivered to the Museum. When making your reservation, please ask about food delivery.
Late Arrivals
If your group will not be arriving on time, please contact the Welcome Desk as soon as possible at (336) 723-9111.
