One event on April 17, 2021 at 8:00 pm

Let’s celebrate the Moon and Mars at Kaleideum North’s annual Statewide Star Party! Visit the Planetarium and explore science stations set up throughout the museum to learn about Earth’s only moon and the Red Planet. Free with museum admission or membership.

Continue your exploration of the Moon and Mars with Forsyth Astronomical Society’s professional telescopes and binoculars outside the museum beginning at 8 pm. The evening portion of the event is free and will be weather permitting. Learn more at kaleideum.org.

If state restrictions do not recommend indoor gatherings, this Star Party will go virtual! Learn about the Moon, Mars and beyond from the comfort of your own home with our online star tour. Learn about the stories behind the stars and create one of your very own with a maker activity.

The NC Science Festival’s annual Statewide Star Party is made possible through the generous support of the NC Space Grant.
