🚀 Blast off from Kaleideum … and journey from Moon to Mars! 🌕
This interactive, hands-on STEAM exhibit —developed by Omaha Children’s Museum with support from NASA’s Deep Space Exploration Systems at Johnson Space Center — invites curious minds of all ages to explore what it takes to live, work, and travel in deep space. From designing rockets to walking in reduced gravity, young engineers, future astronauts, and big dreamers will discover the science, creativity, and collaboration behind interplanetary travel.
Six immersive zones engage physical, social, inquisitive, and imaginative learners through dynamic, play-based exploration.
Featured activities include:
-
Orion Spacecraft — Take the controls and hover above a distant planet.
-
Lunar Rover — Navigate alien terrain behind the wheel of your own rover.
-
Rocket Launchers — Design and launch your own rocket creations across the room!
-
Moon Base Builder — Imagine, engineer, and build your own base on a new world.
-
Lunar Leaps — Test how movement changes in a low-gravity environment.
-
Space Academy Kiosk — Watch videos to learn about astronauts, new spacesuits, and everyday life in space.
What you’ll discover:
