Homeschool Innovators: Robotics and Engineering

Get ready to design, build, and innovate! During this special Homeschool Day, students will explore the exciting worlds of robotics and engineering through hands-on challenges and interactive activities. Dive into the engineering design process as you construct simple machines, experiment with circuits, and explore how robots sense and move. Then, put your creativity to the test by programming robots to complete tasks and solve real-world problems. Whether your learner is just beginning their engineering journey or already dreaming of a career in robotics, this day will spark curiosity, build problem-solving skills, and inspire future innovators.

Creeks, Critters & Clean Water: Creek Week Homeschool Day – TBA  9-3 pm

Celebrate Forsyth Creek Week with a full day of hands-on water science at Kaleideum! Meet our resident axolotl and salamanders, investigate water quality using real scientific probes and sensors, explore the Wonders of Water exhibit, and discover the tiny macroinvertebrates that reveal the health of local streams. Design and test your own water filters, create aquatic habitats, and learn how scientists, engineers, and everyday citizens help protect our waterways. It’s an engaging day of STEM, nature, and environmental stewardship designed especially for homeschool families.

• The home school admission prices are in effect on any day that Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools are in session.
• Registration is not required to attend the Homeschool Days. Please bring your verification to receive the homeschool rate.
• On Saturdays, summer months, school holidays, snow days, and teacher work days, regular admission rates apply.
• Please bring your Letter of Intent, Registration record or Verification card at check in.
• Homeschool discounts do not apply to children under the age of 5.
