Animal Encounters
Meet Kaleideum's Animal Ambassadors
Join us every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in ‘Our Nature’ at 11:30 AM. Our Animal Care specialists will introduce you to one of our animals and share all the best facts with visitors!
Recommended for Visitors of All Ages. Be aware that snakes and other reptiles will occasionally make an appearance.

Nature Explorers
April’s Nature Explorers theme invites kids to discover the outdoors through creative, hands-on play. Inspired by blooming flowers and springtime changes, activities spark curiosity and imagination. It’s all about exploring and connecting with nature in fun, meaningful ways.
Apr 4: Make a parachute to help a baby chick land safely
Apr 11-12: Design an animal habitat diorama
Apr 18-19: Create a flower pinwheel
Apr 25-26: Invent an insect and bring it to life with recycled materials
Little Innovators
Little Innovators is a hands-on program for young children that sparks creativity and curiosity through fun stories, art, and science activities.
Candy Craze Science | April 15, 3:30 pm
It’s a sugar rush as we experiment with a Skittles rainbows, grow some Gummy Bears, and mix up Peeps playdough!
Engineer It! | April 25, 10:30 pm
Transform into a mini engineer as we explore and solve problems using robots, dominoes, and musical circuits!
$5 per ticket. (Ticket includes one adult with one Pre-K Innovator. Adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
