Animal Encounters
Meet Kaleideum's Animal Ambassadors
Join us every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in ‘Our Nature’ at 11:30 AM. Our Animal Care specialists will introduce you to one of our animals and share all the best facts with visitors!
Recommended for Visitors of All Ages. Be aware that snakes and other reptiles will occasionally make an appearance.

Mixed Up Magic
May brings us a month of Mixed Up Magical activities! Mix up potions, craft a magical wand, create new animals, and build enchanted lands. Join us in the studio for a month of hands-on fun!
May 2-3: Create your own 3D glasses and drawings.Â
May 10: Paint a collaborative dandelion mural and make a Mother’s Day craft. Â
May 16-17: Transform a stick into your own magical wand!Â
May 23-24:Design a mixed-up cardboard animal or a monster mash-up drawing.Â
May 30-31:Use recycled materials to create an enchanted forest. Â
Little Innovators
Little Innovators is a hands-on program for young children that sparks creativity and curiosity through fun stories, art, and science activities.
Totally Turtles | May 13, 3:30 pm
Discover the differences between turtles and tortoises as we meet two live animal friends, hatch turtle eggs, and create some turtle-y unique art.Â
Bubble Trouble | May 30, 10:30 pm
Create your own perfect bubble solution as we engineer bubble wands, paint with bubbles, and create slithery bubble creatures! Â
$5 per ticket. (Ticket includes one adult with one Pre-K Innovator. Adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
