Animal Encounters

Meet Kaleideum's Animal Ambassadors

Join us every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in ‘Our Nature’ at 11:30 AM. Our Animal Care specialists will introduce you to one of our animals and share all the best facts with visitors!

Recommended for Visitors of All Ages. Be aware that snakes and other reptiles will occasionally make an appearance.

Inventions and Innovations

In the Try It! Studio, dive into the science and creativity of opposites. Through hands-on exploration, visitors will investigate concepts like fast and slow, push and pull, and cause and effect—revealing how opposing forces shape the world around us.

Mar 1: Design and test your own spinning top

Mar 7–8: Build a robot from recycled materials

Mar 14–15: Craft and play your own harmonica

Mar 21–22: Invent a tool from recycled materials

Little Innovators

Little Innovators is a hands-on program for young children that sparks creativity and curiosity through fun stories, art, and science activities.

Magical Creatures   | March 18, 3:30 pm

Follow the rainbow as we build leprechaun traps, make unicorn slime, and even discover some “magical” things that real animals can do too!

Out of this World | March 28, 10:30 pm

We’ll travel to the stars and back again as we learn more about our solar system, hunt for moon rocks, and find out why there’s no air in space.

$5 per ticket. (Ticket includes one adult with one Pre-K Innovator. Adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
