Animal Encounters

Meet Kaleideum's Animal Ambassadors

Join us every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in ‘Our Nature’ at 11:30 AM. Our Animal Care specialists will introduce you to one of our animals and share all the best facts with visitors!

Recommended for Visitors of All Ages. Be aware that snakes and other reptiles will occasionally make an appearance.

Books and Beyond!

Celebrate your favorite stories all month long through hands-on activities and demos! You may even create your own tale to tell!

  • Sept 5-6: Create a monster bookmark.
  • Sept 12-13: What can you make with a box?
  • Sept 19-20: Fold a fortune teller and use it to write a story.
  • Sept 26-27: Build a puppet of your favorite story character

Little Innovators

Little Innovators is a hands-on program for young children that sparks creativity and curiosity through fun stories, art, and science activities.

Storybook Science| September 2, 3:30 pm

Bring classic stories to life with an egg drop building challenge, witchy potions and dancing seeds, and gingerbread playdough!

Apple Architects | September 26, 10:30 am

Create apple-solutely awesome towers and buildings, a-peeling artwork, and even an apple volcano!

$5 per ticket. (Ticket includes one adult with one Pre-K Innovator. Adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
