SciWorks announces the hiring of Jennifer S. Hudson as the new Director of Development. Jennifer began work on September 11 and brings 10 years of fundraising and donor relations experience to the museum.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Jennifer join our team and establish long-lasting relationships with our current supporters, as well as cultivate new supporters and opportunities for growth” says Paul Kortenaar, Executive Director. “She brings a wealth of education and experience to SciWorks and will be instrumental in taking the museum to the next level of growth and innovation.”
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Masters in Non-Profit Management, Jennifer began her career as a Coordinator of Foundation and Alumni Activities at Davidson Community College. More recently, as the Assistant Director of Law School Development & Alumni Relations at Wake Forest University, she managed a fundraising portfolio of alumni donors for the annual fund, managed fundraising programs and events, and worked with alumni volunteers to create and manage advisory boards.
“SciWorks is a remarkable place where young minds are challenged to make a real difference in the world,” Jennifer says. “I want to be a part of this and share with others the story of how supporting SciWorks means making an investment in the future of Winston-Salem and western North Carolina.”
