Animal Encounters
Meet Kaleideum's Animal Ambassadors
Join us every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in ‘Our Nature’ at 11:30 AM. Our Animal Care specialists will introduce you to one of our animals and share all the best facts with visitors!
Recommended for Visitors of All Ages. Be aware that snakes and other reptiles will occasionaly make an appearance.
Weekends in the Try It! Studio
Winter Wonders
Dive into a frosty world of Winter Wonders in the Try It! Studio! Spark your creativity with hands-on activities that explore the science, engineering, and magic of the season. Design and test your own robot sleds, craft miniature winter dioramas, or experiment with playful physics as you launch snowball catapults into action. From magnet-powered ice skaters to handmade ornaments, each activity invites you to imagine, build, and explore the wonders of winter in fun, interactive ways.
December 6-7: Build a winter diorama
December 13-14: Create gifts and cards for the holidays
December 20-21: Design an ornament
December 27-28: Create a skier or snowboarder to hit the slopes
Little Innovators
Little Innovators is a hands-on program for young children that sparks creativity and curiosity through fun stories, art, and science activities.
Candy Cane Science | December 10, 3:30 pm
Come experiment with tasty holiday treats as we magically make peppermint stripes disappear, marble paint our own candy canes, and create peppermint slime!
Magic Magnets | December 27, 10:30 pm
Feel the mysterious forces of push and pull as we test magnetic fields, make marvelously floating magnets, and build our own compass.
$5 per ticket. (Ticket includes one adult with one Pre-K Innovator. Adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
