Animal Encounters
Meet Kaleideum's Animal Ambassadors
Join us every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in ‘Our Nature’ at 11:30 AM. Our Animal Care specialists will introduce you to one of our animals and share all the best facts with visitors!
Recommended for Visitors of All Ages. Be aware that snakes and other reptiles will occasionaly make an appearance.

Step into the Try It Studio at Kaleideum and bring timeless stories and myths to life through hands-on creativity and imaginative play. Explore legendary tales and craft your own adventures while discovering the power of storytelling across cultures.
Sept 6-7: Fairy House – Build magical homes for woodland fairies.
Sept 13-14: Big Foot Walking Feet – Design oversized silly moving feet.
Sept 20-21: Phoenix Collaborative Art Project – Create a fiery bird for the studio.
Sept 27-29: Hero’s Journey – Complete challenges to create an epic adventure

Little Innovators
Little Innovators is a hands-on program for young children that sparks creativity and curiosity through fun stories, art, and science activities.
Dino-mite Dinosaurs| September 17, 3:30 pm
Uncover fossils and footprints, hatch dinosaur eggs, and create dino-mite volcanic eruptions!
Fantastic Beasts | September 27, 10:30 am
Design flying dragons, mix up unicorn slime, create a mermaid tail in a jar, and experiment with fiery phoenix explosions.
$5 per ticket. (Ticket includes one adult with one Pre-K Innovator. Adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
