Kaleideum will celebrate its first birthday in the new downtown location on Saturday, February 15. In addition, there are many other fun events during February.

Family Valentine’s Dance & Desserts
Friday, February 7, 6-9 pm

Bring the family for an evening of dancing in the Digital Dome and Valentine’s games, crafts, and scavenger hunt. Take your picture with Valentine props in the photo booth and enjoy delectable desserts and a hot chocolate bar!

The Family Valentine’s Dance & Desserts is always a popular event at Kaleideum! Tickets are $10 per member; $15 per non-member. Registration ends at Noon on February 6.

Kaleideum After Dark: Mad Mixtures
Saturday, February 8, 6:30-9:30 pm

Kaleideum is stirring up science with spirits, playing with non-Newtonian fluids, and making our own slime during this hands-on 21+ event that is delightfully entertaining. DJ Heck Yeh and Karaoke in the Dome will keep the party going. We’ll also have a fun Valentine’s craft in the Try It! Studio! $20 online, $25 at the door. Ticket includes two drink vouchers for beer and wine. There will be a full cash bar, signature cocktails, and a food truck out front.

If an individual purchased tickets to the January event that was canceled due to inclement weather, the tickets will transfer to the February Kaleideum After Dark.

Exceptional Night at the Museum: Hearts and Crafts
Thursday, February 13, 5:30-8:30 pm

Celebrate Valentine’s Day in a sensory-friendly environment with carnival games, glowing Valentine’s cards, a Digital Dome dance party, and exciting science demos. Members free; non-members $5 per person.

Exceptional Night at the Museum is a series of exclusive events during which children and adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities — along with their families and caregivers — can enjoy the wonders of Kaleideum. Exceptional Night events offer inclusive and adaptive programming in a less crowded museum environment.

Magical Milestone Day
Saturday, February 15, 10 am-5 pm

Join Kaleideum for “1” derful day of magic, music, and fun to celebrate the museum’s first birthday at 120 West 3rd Street! This action-packed celebration is perfect for all ages and promises an unforgettable experience with activities and surprises around every corner:

  • Discover the fun side of learning during our interactive Science of Magic Show.
  • Be amazed by the Steve Feldman Magic Show, where illusions and wonder come to life.
  • Embark on a thrilling Museum Mystery Scavenger Hunt and uncover hidden surprises.
  • Get up close and personal with a “Party Animal” encounter, featuring some of Kaleideum’s coolest critters.
  • Indulge a sweet tooth with birthday cake and create your own keepsakes at the button-making station.
  • End the day on a high note with karaoke in the Digital Dome.

And that’s not all! With even more fun activities throughout the day, you won’t want to miss this magical milestone celebration. Bright Futures Festival
Saturday, February 22, 11 am-3 pm

Kaleideum is building a brighter future through innovation and imagination at Kaleideum. Local partners will be at the museum to showcase engineering and literacy opportunities in our community. Admission to the Bright Futures Festival is $3 per person. Members are free.
