As the world changes for the Class of 2020 and all high schoolers, Kaleideum is extending its heartfelt thanks for the support they showed the Museum at the start of the year

A special group of RJ Reynolds High School a cappella students used their 14th annual musical fundraiser, A Cappella Jam for Hope, on Saturday, January 18, at RJ Reynolds Auditorium, as a fundraiser for Kaleideum, and they raised more than $7,200 for the Museum. The event took place on Saturday, January 18, at RJ Reynolds Auditorium, Matt Sallee from Pentatonix was the emcee for the Jam, which showcased four Reynolds a cappella ensembles, as well as college a cappella groups from across the state.

Then, on Saturday, February 22, approximately 275 Forsyth County high school seniors held the Crystal Ball 2020 fundraiser for Kaleideum at Kaleideum Downtown. The Crystal Ball Student Ambassadors raised more than $6,500 for the Museum and included:

“We are so appreciative that all of these high schoolers made Kaleideum a priority, and it is especially poignant during these challenging times while the Museum doors are temporarily closed to the public,” says Elizabeth Dampier, Kaleideum Executive Director. “Many of those who are graduating or in high school during 2020 were the first children to play in Kaleideum Downtown, and they explored science through field trips at Kaleideum North. We are grateful to be a part of their childhood memories and for their support as young adults.”
