Want a great way to kick off your Spring Break? Find out more about Nanoscience and Nanotechnology!

Think small. Think really, really small  — smaller than anything you have every seen through a microscope at school. Think atoms and molecules, and now you’re there. You’re down at the nanoscale.

Nanoscience involves research to discover new behaviors and properties of materials with dimensions at the nanoscale — roughly from 1 to 100 nanometers (nm). Nanotechnology is the way discoveries made at the nanoscale are put to work.

NanoDay at SciWorks is Saturday, March 29, from 1 to 4 pm. NanoDay activities bring university researchers together with science museum educators to create unique learning experiences. You can straighten a wire by adding heat, make “snow,” play with oobleck and create a rainbow of colors from clear liquids as you explore the amazing properties of nano-structures.

We’ll have hands-on activities for the whole family, so come out and enjoy!
